Greater Fire Drake Egg
The Greater Fire Drake fancies areas of high volcanic activity and that adds to the danger of hunting for their nests. The thick fog that surrounds the rims of volcano are a favorite location, the noxious gasses hiding them from sight and thickening their shells. It makes them one of the longest incubation of any of the Drakes., taking years to eventually break free of their eggs.
Due to the rarity of these nests and in accordance with article 512R of the Magical Creatures Protection act, we harvest only after the young and parents leave the nest. The eggs left behind are termed ‘decoy eggs’ by those of us in the industry. They are the dormant empty eggs hidden in the nest to protect the live eggs from predators and thus carry no danger to the buyer of hatching at the wrong moment. Enjoy the beauty and wonder of this creature’s egg without the danger to pets or property!
Specimen label carries the name and type of creature along with a image of the mature beast.
