Hippogryph egg
The Hippogryph has been traced back to its roots in the Mediterranean and it was with the aid of the oracle at Delphi that we were able to locate this nest. After much sweat and a dangerous climb, we reach a peak overlooking a splendid vista and managed to procure this precious specimen.
Due to the rarity of these nests and in accordance with article 36H2 of the Magical Creatures Protection act, we harvest only after the young and parents leave the nest. The eggs left behind are termed ‘decoy eggs’ by those of us in the industry. They are the dormant empty eggs hidden in the nest to protect the live eggs from predators and thus carry no danger to the buyer of hatching at the wrong moment.
